Welcoming Dr. Khaled Sultan to Action For Humanity Canada’s Board of Directors
We are delighted to welcome Dr. Khaled Sultan, P.Eng., CFA, MBA, DBA, to the Board of Directors of Action For Humanity Canada (AFHC).
Dr. Sultan brings more than 25 years of experience spanning wealth management, capital markets, engineering, technology, and corporate leadership. He currently serves as Senior Wealth Advisor and Senior Portfolio Manager at CIBC Wood Gundy, where he leads an advisory practice specializing in ethical, socially responsible, and Shariah-compliant investment solutions.
His expertise in financial stewardship, strategic planning, risk management, and governance is complemented by a longstanding commitment to community service. He has served on the boards of the London Community Foundation, Merrymount Children’s Centre, and the World Parkinson’s Program, and previously chaired the London Community Foundation’s Investment Committee.
Dr. Sultan holds a Doctor of Business Administration in Islamic Finance from Henley Business School at the University of Reading and an MBA in Finance from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. His academic and professional work reflects a sustained interest in ethical finance and its role in serving communities.
A committed supporter of Action For Humanity Canada since our establishment, Dr. Sultan has personally visited our humanitarian operations in Yemen. That visit gave him firsthand insight into the challenges facing communities affected by humanitarian crises and the impact of our teams’ work on the ground.
Reflecting on his appointment, Dr. Sultan shared:
