Action for Humanity Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Abdel Monem Daymi as its new Chief Executive Officer.

As the organization continues to grow across Canada, this appointment marks an exciting new chapter in its mission to mobilize Canadians in support of communities affected by conflict, disaster, displacement, and poverty around the world.

Dr. Daymi brings more than three decades of experience in volunteer leadership and organizational development, along with more than 15 years of leadership experience in the humanitarian and international development sector, and over a decade of experience in university teaching and academia. His career reflects a deep commitment to building resilient communities through compassionate, strategic, and accountable leadership.

His appointment comes at an important moment for Action for Humanity Canada as the organization strengthens partnerships, expands community engagement, and grows its presence across the country in alignment with Action for Humanity’s global vision of creating a world of crisis-resilient communities.

A Leader with Global Humanitarian Experience

Throughout his humanitarian career, Dr. Daymi has led complex humanitarian, development, youth engagement, and volunteer mobilization initiatives across more than 30 countries.

His career spans both field operations and headquarters leadership, with senior responsibilities across programs, resource mobilization, donor engagement, organizational development, and humanitarian response.

He has overseen annual program portfolios exceeding CAD 50 million and worked alongside governments, local organizations, donors, volunteers, and international partners.

He also brings broader international exposure through travel and professional engagement across more than 50 countries.
