This Saturday, Action For Humanity Canada is proud to join Humaniti Foundation for Beyond Backpacks 2026—an initiative that helps children from underserved communities begin the school year prepared, confident, and ready to learn.

Action For Humanity Canada has contributed 600 fully equipped backpacks. Each backpack will provide a student with grade-appropriate school supplies and essential resources, helping reduce the financial pressure many families experience during the back-to-school season.

Beyond Backpacks will support students from kindergarten through Grade 12, prioritizing children from low-income, single-parent, Indigenous, newcomer, refugee, and transitional-housing households, as well as families living with disabilities. The wider initiative aims to distribute 6,000 backpacks and hygiene kits across communities in Canada.

This project is about more than supplies. Having a high-quality backpack and the right tools can help a child enter the classroom feeling included, dignified and equal to their peers. It also reminds young people that their community believes in their potential.

We are grateful to the Humaniti Foundation, the volunteers, and everyone who helped make this weekend’s event possible. Together, we are removing barriers to education and helping 600 students take their next step with confidence.
