Gaza: Two Years On

GAZA: TWO YEARS ON

Gaza continues to endure famine and genocide. This is the worst humanitarian disaster of our time. But you can make a difference today.

FAMINE, GENOCIDE, SURVIVAL

Two years since October 7, Gaza continues to endure mass displacement and an ongoing genocide. More than 67,000 people have been killed, and 160,000 injured. Famine has been officially confirmed in Gaza, with over half a million people trapped in catastrophic conditions. The entire population of 2.1 million people are in urgent need of humanitarian aid.

Action For Humanity is responding as Gaza’s families are pushed beyond survival. Parents go hungry so their children can eat. Babies fall asleep with bottles filled only with water. One in five children is acutely malnourished. Hospitals are failing, clean water has run out, and families are at breaking point.

Yet in the midst of this devastation, your support has made an extraordinary impact.

HIDAYA'S STORY

"We are displaced. Food is scarce. My son is suffering from malnutrition. Every day is a struggle."

When we first met Hidaya, she feared her young son Mohammad would not survive the hunger and trauma of life under siege. Her husband had been killed, her family displaced, and her children were wasting away from lack of nutrition.

Since then, Action For Humanity has delivered hot meals to Hidaya and her neighbours, a lifeline in the middle of famine. Her family is not safe, but they are not alone. And there are thousands more like her.

GAZA: TWO YEARS ON FAQ

How is AFH sourcing and delivering food in Gaza despite the challenges?

We work with trusted local partners to source food inside Gaza wherever possible. This allows us to provide fresh vegetables, hot meals, and food parcels even when borders are closed and aid convoys are blocked.

Can AFH send money directly into Gaza?

Action For Humanity is amongst the very few organisations with authorised and established banking channels in Palestine. AFH has an ability to transfer funds to Palestine including Gaza from UK Office through legitimate banking channels.

How many hot meals can AFH provide each day?

On average, we deliver thousands of hot meals daily across displacement sites and HOPE Camps. Since 2023, we’ve served over 290,000 meals to families with no other source of nutrition.

How many people are AFH projects currently serving in Gaza?

Between January and June 2025, our programmes reached over 300,000 people, and since October 2023, we’ve supported 891,597 people with lifesaving aid.

Are the HOPE Camps still operating, and what support do they provide?

Yes, our HOPE Camps provide safe shelter for displaced families, along with clean water, sanitation facilities, medical points, play areas for children, and psychosocial support. More than 9,200 families have been supported through these camps.

How is AFH providing medical aid?

Our teams support local clinics and mobile health units, reaching over 63,000 people since 2023. Services include emergency treatment, maternal care, and mental health support for children and families.
