OUR WATER PROJECTS
Clean water changes everything, yet millions of people still live without safe water. Your support can change that.
THE GLOBAL WATER CRISIS
Around two billion people still live without access to clean water, almost one in every ten people on Earth. Most are in remote rural communities, where families are forced to walk for hours each day just to collect water that is often unsafe to drink.
That daily journey comes at a high cost. Children miss school, carers lose precious time they could spend working or caring for their families, and the water collected frequently carries diseases that leave entire communities vulnerable to illness.
Yet clean water changes everything. When safe water flows, children can learn, parents can work, and families can stay healthy, unlocking opportunity, dignity, and a more secure future, especially for women and children.
Clean Water for Palestinians
In the western districts of Gaza City, thousands of displaced families are living in makeshift shelters after fleeing relentless conflict. Without reliable access to clean water, they face daily risks to their health, safety, and dignity.
Action For Humanity is responding through our Water Distribution for IDPs in Gaza project. Over three months, we will provide safe drinking water to 7,392 displaced families, more than 44,000 people, ensuring each person receives at least 6 litres per day for a full week, in line with WASH Cluster standards.
Working with the WASH Cluster and local partners, our teams prioritise the most in need shelters, conduct daily water quality testing, and support families with simple, safe water practices. With your support, we can keep water flowing — and protect lives.
Solar-Powered Water Wells, Pakistan
In South Punjab, Pakistan, many communities still struggle to access safe water. Women and children often walk long distances in extreme heat to collect water, losing time for school, work, and rest, while also facing safety risks along the way. Contaminated water, poor sanitation, and ageing infrastructure are further deepening ill health and malnutrition.
Action For Humanity Pakistan is responding by installing seven solar-powered community water wells and 36 household or cluster hand pumps across three districts. Running from September to December 2025, this project will bring reliable, clean water closer to home for 1,899 people, including children, women, and the most vulnerable families, giving them back time, health, and opportunity.
CLEAN WATER CHANGES EVERYTHING
Access to safe water changes and transforms lives. It’s the foundation for health, education, empowerment, and livelihoods.
At Action For Humanity, we tackle the water crisis through sustainable, dignified, and community-led projects, ensuring families have reliable access for years to come.
Health
Clean water prevents deadly diseases like cholera and typhoid, keeping families strong and communities thriving.
Education
When water is close to home, children, especially girls, can spend their days in classrooms instead of walking long distances.
Empowerment
In 7 out of 10 households where water is off-premises, women and girls are responsible for collecting it. Bringing water closer frees them to learn, work, and lead.
Livelihoods
Reliable water sources help families grow crops, care for livestock, and earn a stable income.
