OUR FOOD PROJECTS
Across our world, millions of families wake up hungry. But if we act now, we can help families eat today and build food security for tomorrow.
A GLOBAL HUNGER CRISIS
The world is facing a hunger crisis on an unprecedented scale. In 2026, at least 318 million people are expected to face crisis levels of hunger or worse, more than double the number in 2019. This is being driven by overlapping shocks of conflict, economic instability, and the climate crisis, with famines now confirmed in Gaza and Sudan, a devastating first this century.
But this crisis is not beyond our reach to change. By meeting urgent needs today while strengthening local food systems for tomorrow, we can help families withstand shocks, protect their dignity, and build a steadier future where no one is left fighting simply to be fed.
LEBANON COMMUNITY KITCHEN & BAKERY
In a country where over 80% of the population now lives in poverty, and nearly 36% in extreme poverty, your generosity brought relief to thousands of families.
Thanks to your support, we launched the Lebanon Community Kitchen and Bakery. A hub dedicated to serving some of the most underserved neighbourhoods in the country. The kitchen is a lifeline for families who cannot afford a hot meal. We served over 28,000 nourishing hot meals, freshly prepared and distributed with care.
LEARN MORE - COMMUNITY KITCHEN
Our community bakeries produced 200,000 fresh flatbreads, an essential staple for households across the region. These daily distributions provided critical relief and a sense of consistency in uncertain times. We also distributed over 2,000 WASH kits, each packed with essential hygiene and sanitary products. These kits were especially vital for women and children, helping prevent disease in communities affected by overcrowding, underfunded services, and economic collapse.
10,000
Food Parcels
For Gaza
Over the past year, we have distributed 16,000 food parcels to displaced families from Gaza, delivering aid both directly in Gaza and to families forced to seek refuge in Egypt. This includes 10,000 parcels already delivered to Gaza, with a further 2,500 en route, and preparations underway for an additional 10,000 ahead of Ramadan.
Our teams in Egypt are assembling parcels of rice, flour, lentils, sugar, and oil for safe delivery to Gaza. With your support, we can reach families still waiting for aid and bring nourishment, dignity, and hope where they need it most.
OUR RESPONSE
At Action For Humanity, we make sure no family is forgotten. Our food projects combine emergency relief with dignified, long-term support, ensuring families can eat today and thrive tomorrow. In our recent push:
Food Parcel Distribution
We distribute food parcels tailored to local cultures and diets, ensuring that families in need have access to essential nutrition. This includes a variety of staple foods, such as grains, canned goods, and fresh produce, to support families through times of crisis.
Hot Meal Provision
During emergencies and special times like Ramadan, we provide hot meals to communities that are struggling to meet their daily needs. These meals are distributed in areas with the highest levels of food insecurity, ensuring that no one goes without a warm meal when they need it most.
Bread Distribution
We operate a bakery projects that deliver bundles of fresh bread to displaced families. Bread is a staple food, and this project helps to ensure that families have access to basic, nutritious food despite ongoing conflict.
Cash Assistance for Food
Through cash assistance programs, we empower families to purchase food directly. This approach allows families to buy what they need with dignity and supports local markets by circulating the cash within the community. This method promotes economic sustainability while addressing immediate hunger needs.
Community Kitchens
In areas with high levels of displacement, we establish community kitchens that serve hot meals and provide fresh bread to those in need. These kitchens act as a hub for people to access nutritious meals while fostering a sense of community among those affected by crisis.
Long-Term Food Security Programs
Beyond immediate food relief, we invest in long-term solutions to combat hunger. These programs focus on sustainable agriculture, market access, and food security to help communities rebuild and thrive in the aftermath of conflict or natural disasters.
