Our team of doctors returned to Taafi, Syria, bringing life-saving surgeries, specialist care, and renewed hope to thousands.

A Mission of Healing and Humanity

 

From 20–25th September 2025, Action For Humanity deployed 42 medical professionals from the UK, the Middle East, and beyond to five Syrian cities: Damascus, Homs, Hama, Latakia, and Aleppo.


Our mission aimed to address Syria’s collapsing healthcare system, where only 57% of hospitals are functioning and more than 15.8 million people remain in need of medical assistance.


Over five days, the team performed complex surgeries, delivered specialist consultations, trained local doctors, and provided vital equipment to eight hospitals across the country.

The Road Ahead

Our work in Syria doesn’t end with one mission. The Taafi team’s feedback and findings will shape future deployments:

•  Longer missions to allow follow-up care and rehabilitation
•  Expanded mental health services
•  Mobile clinics for remote areas
•  Stronger coordination with local hospitals and NGOs
