Over the last 48 hours, Gaza has been battered by relentless heavy rain. Flooding has swept through displacement camps where 1.25 million people are already living in extreme hardship. Now, an even stronger storm is moving in.
Around 850,000 people remain at the highest risk as freezing temperatures, strong winds, and further rainfall threaten fragile shelters that cannot withstand the weather.

What caused the flooding?
Heavy winter rains have flooded tented camps and temporary shelters across Gaza. With no drainage systems and damaged infrastructure, tents quickly fill with water, leaving families exposed to cold and damp conditions.
Why can’t families access winter supplies?
Entry restrictions have severely limited the flow of essential goods, including blankets, warm clothing, and ground covers. Most families now rely entirely on humanitarian aid to replace items that have been soaked or damaged.
How is Action For Humanity helping?
AFH is distributing winter kits that include blankets, warm clothing, and tent ground covers. These items provide vital warmth, dryness, and stability during harsh winter conditions. We prioritise families living in the most exposed and flood-affected areas.

Warm Meals & Food Parcels
For families unable to cook or access food, we deliver fresh, warm meals prepared by our teams. These meals offer immediate relief and help ensure no family goes hungry while waiting for conditions to improve.
Families affected by the floods are struggling to access basic food supplies. Our food parcels provide essential staples such as rice, lentils, oil and canned goods so families can prepare meals and maintain their strength during the crisis.
Water & Hygiene Kits
Floodwaters have contaminated many water sources, putting families at risk of illness. Your donation helps provide purified drinking water and safe water containers to protect children and vulnerable people from dehydration and waterborne disease.
Overcrowded shelters and contaminated water increase the risk of infection. Hygiene kits include soap, sanitary items, disinfectant and essential cleaning supplies to help families stay healthy and reduce the spread of disease.
Winter Supplies
Cold temperatures combined with flooding make survival even harder for displaced families. We deliver warm clothing, thick blankets and thermal items to help protect children and adults from exposure and hypothermia.
Temporary Shelter
Thousands of homes have been damaged or destroyed by the floods. Your support helps us provide tents, waterproof coverings and emergency shelter materials to keep families safe, dry and protected from the weather.
