Job Description
Main Job Purpose
The Digital Marketing Manager will play a key part of the Marketing & Comms team. They will create a digital marketing strategy and execute campaigns which promote Action For Humanity Canada’s brand, enhance donor growth, and increase revenue. They will work in accordance with up-to-date digital marketing tactics and approaches.
Lead on all digital marketing matters, supporting on a variety of projects, and prioritize a varied workload. You will monitor active platforms and campaigns on a day-to- day basis, provide adequate reporting and analysis, and support the team to grow and maintain the brand. You will also manage relationships with external partners, agencies and specialists.
Accountabilities
◾️ Develop and oversee the delivery of a successful digital marketing strategy to build brand awareness and increase revenue from digital channels
◾️ Establish and manage all digital marketing platforms including SEO, Paid Social, and Paid Search (PPC, keywords, ad groups, etc.) to achieve KPIs
◾️ Activate, optimize, and report on paid digital marketing campaigns
◾️ Measure performance of digital marketing efforts/campaigns using a variety of web analytics tools (Google Analytics, WebTrends etc.)
◾️ Ensure the content on all web platforms deliver digital marketing objectives
◾️ Conduct a website audit, rebrand and redesign
◾️ Manage the website’s CMS and ensure content is up to date and consistent
◾️ Conduct market research to understand donor behavior and identify trends
◾️ Ensure the user journey is lean and streamlined
◾️ Collaborate with in-house team of designers, videographers & photographers, editors, PR & comms professionals, etc. to create outstanding marketing content
◾️ Collaborate with other income generation teams, as well as global projects delivery teams, to inform a strong strategy and generate outstanding marketing content
◾️ Plan and coordinate a schedule of activity across Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and other platforms to expand our social media audience base
◾️ Management and liaison of relationships with external partners and agencies
◾️ Plan and manage a regular schedule of email marketing activity to grow and engage our donor base, through automation and segmentation
◾️ Stay up to date with the latest digital marketing trends and technologies, and implementing best practices
◾️ Implementing brand guidelines and ensuring compliance in all areas of work
◾️ Other ad-hoc duties as required
Job Requirements
Education
◾️ Degree in relevant field i.e., Marketing, Digital Marketing and/or Professional Marketing
◾️ Professional fluency in English
Experience
◾️ 3-5 years in a similar role (Digital Marketing)
◾️ Experience in the voluntary/charity sector (desirable)
◾️ Experience in SEO/SEM, social media platforms, Google Adwords and email marketing
◾️ Experience in using CMSs, ideally Umbraco, and all mainstream social media tools
◾️ Project management experience
◾️ Experience using digital design software such as Adobe InDesign / Photoshop / Illustrator (desirable)
◾️ Create and manage content marketing, social media and paid advertising strategies
Skills
◾️ Perfect knowledge of web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics)
◾️ Excellent understanding of digital marketing concepts and best practices
◾️ In-depth knowledge of social media
◾️ In-depth knowledge of paid social (e.g. Facebook Ads Manager)
◾️ Understanding of advanced marketing principles
◾️ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
◾️ Substantial experience in copywriting and editing particularly for online channels
◾️ A good understanding of what makes a website successful and accessible
◾️ Analytical mindset and critical thinking
Languages️
◾ Strong written and spoken English (essential)
◾️ French and Arabic (desirable)
