EVENT DESCRIPTION 

 

The Voices for Orphans Tour is a Canada-wide community tour featuring Sheikh Muhammad Jibreel, one of the most renowned and beloved reciters of the Qur’an in the Muslim world.

 

This tour brings together communities across Canada through Qur’an recitation, spiritual reflection, and collective responsibility, while supporting orphan care and humanitarian programs through Action For Humanity. 

 

The tour will include a combination of:

Masjid visits and public Qur'an recitations

Community gatherings and visitations

Fundraising dinners dedicated to supporting orphans and vulnerable families

 

Each stop is designed to be spiritually uplifting, accessible to the wider community, and rooted in the timeless message of the Qur’an.

Known for his deep emotional delivery, precision in tajwīd, and powerful connection to the meanings of the Qur’an, Sheikh Jibreel’s recitation has inspired generations across the Muslim world. He has led prayers and recited Qur’an in some of the most prominent mosques globally, and his recordings are widely listened to during Ramadan and beyond. His style is marked by humility, spiritual depth, and a profound ability to move hearts through the words of Allah. The Voices for Orphans Tour offers communities across Canada a rare opportunity to experience his recitation live while supporting a meaningful humanitarian cause. 

Yahya Hawwa

Yahya Hawwa is a renowned Syrian vocalist, nasheed artist, and Quran reciter known for his inspiring Islamic music and humanitarian work, blending spiritual themes with social awareness; he holds a master's in psychology, has performed globally, and is nicknamed "the optimist" for his uplifting message, especially during the Syrian revolution. Born in Hama, Syria (1976), he memorized the Quran, studied Islamic jurisprudence, and became an influential figure in Islamic media through albums, music videos, and humanitarian campaigns.

Is there an entry fee to attend?

No. 
Masjid recitations and general community programs are free and open to the public. 

 

Are any events ticketed?

Yes — fundraising dinners associated with the tour will require tickets.

What is the purpose of the fundraising dinners?

The fundraising dinners support orphan care and humanitarian programs delivered by Action For Humanity, helping vulnerable children and families locally and globally.

Can families attend?

Yes. All masjid recitations and community programs are family-friendly. 
Dinner events may have venue-specific guidelines which will be shared in advance.
